I head to the airport in a couple of hours. The next 24 hours will be full of flights and driving, but it will be worth it. It's hard to believe it's been two years since I was last in Ghana. All the children will be 2 years older... There will be some I won't see because they are away at high school and there will be so many new ones to meet. I look forward to sitting on the porch listening to stories, being taught new dances, playing football everyday, and laughing... lots of laughing...
I'll try very hard to keep up with this blog but we all know how faithful I have been to that in the past. :) Perhaps fewer words, more pictures would ensure a weekly post....

I'm waiting to hear how everything is going ... you should be over the 24 hours of travel by now. Summer has come to Santa Barbara (warm sunny days with not too much fog in the mornings) and the beaches are full of people. I particularly want to hear about your research and the curriculum ... I hope it is all you have wanted it to be for the school and kids. Miss your sunny face at worship. Only big news I can think of is that both Maddie and Olivia are swimming like fish ... Maddie is over her fear of water. Last weekend was the workday for Habitat For Humanity. Last minute we found out that Rebecca and her friends were too young to be on the site and couldn't participate. Lily, Diana, Paul, Kristi, Steve and one other person worked all day and clearly felt great about helping. Guess that's all for now, Holly Melton
On behalf of your fans stateside...
If fewer words and more pictures was going to get us a weekly post, what adjustments get us a monthly one?
Just kidding, a little, of course, yeah, OK.
I'm sure the time you're not spending keeping us up to date is well worth the trade in blessings it creates for your Ghanaian friends while you're there.
Grace and peace, friend.
